Ten American Cancer Society Hope Lodge® communities are now equipped with electric vehicle (EV) transportation, thanks to a partnership between Chevrolet, Qmerit, and Schneider Electric.
Each Hope Lodge offers free lodging and support to patients and caregivers when treatment is far from home, providing over 500,000 nights of free lodging annually across more than 30 locations.
Patients in Birmingham, Boston, Greenville, Houston, Iowa City, Jackson, Lexington, New Orleans, Omaha, and Oklahoma City will now additionally enjoy free, sustainable transportation to their treatment sessions from donated electric vehicles and EV charging stations through this partnership.
